When great music is made, you must include Big Stove as one of the authors. Born in Cleveland, OH Big Stove never had the idea of being a rapper. However his late cousin named, Rayshon “Ray Fresha” Ford, was destined to be the next to blow. Until his life was taken away in an automobile accident. Big Stove and Fresh were as close as brothers. Big Stove made a promise to himself that he would do his best to keep Rayshon’s legacy alive by becoming a rap artist.
When it comes to music, Big Stove has no boundaries. This Cleveland, Ohio native brings the energy and originality that the music scene has been missing. With a Bachelors’ degree from Kent State University and continuing grad school at Walden University, he has a grasp on using a broad vocabulary. He is also a former teacher, who specialized in being there for each and every student he encountered. Stove loves to assist the community any way he can. Not only is he the sound engineer and DJ for his church, he is also the assistant director of the youth club at his church.
He’s also a DJ, and has released a few mixtapes while in the Nerve DJs family since 2012. He is very multitalented and wont stick to one type of genre. His last single was a boom bap type of production, and now he just released something for the club called “Benjamin Banks”. He has worked with many different producers, but his most acknowledgeable producer is K.E. On the Track, who produced “Benjamin Banks” and his upcoming single “Soaked Up”.
Michael Stover a.k.a. Big Stove is sure to be the next to explode in the industry. During his time at Kent State, Stove was everywhere. From being a radio personality to hosting many of the campus events, he made his presence known.
To be 6’7 he’s also a great dancer, that’s what they all say. Big Stove shows up and shows out at every performance, no matter who is in attendance. He has opened for B.o.B, Chip The Ripper, MGK, and Bizarre (D12) as an Emcee; and for Ying Yang Twins and Kendrick Lamar as a DJ for Partners in Irony.
Big Stove has performed on many platforms from; Live television on Time Warner Channel 23, many Cleveland festivals, Windsor, Canada, and Kent State University. He’s been featured on radio networks like; WENZ 107.9, Black Squirrel Radio, and Sirius XM. No matter what venue calls Big Stove, he is always ready to wow the audience.
